NFU Film Information Sheet No. 131 Film Censor's Certificate No. G5839 (18 June 1957) Release Date: 21.6.57 Babies being born at twice the rate they were 20 years ago, we will soon be wanting twice as many schools etc. Need for more buildings, public transport, industry, etc. means a need for more savings; therefore the 1957 Progress Stock being sold in all Banks and Post Offices. (We show post office sales). Schemes which must go ahead include new Medical School (model), Benmore power scheme (air still), Mercer coal station, geothermal bores. Land development, public transport, power schemes, are all wise investments for a progressive and confident New Zealand.
