N.Z. GETS A VISCOUNT. 107 ft. The first of three turbo-prop airliners, a Viscount named City of Wellington, arrives at Whenuapai Airport.
ARMY - MALAYA FORCE. 204 ft. The New Zealand 1st Battalion trains at Waiouru Military Camp as New Zealand's contribution to the Commonwealth Reserve in South-East Asia. From Wellington the Battalion sails to Singapore, and is seen taking up quarters at Nee Soon village.
