PUMICE LANDS This story of twentieth century pioneering tells of the volcanic wastelands lying in the heart of New Zealand's North Island, and of how they lay idle for many years until modern techniques of large-scale land development were applied. The film shows the amazing transformation of many thousands of acres into fertile farmlands, supporting thousands of people. (NOTE: This was also issued as a Documentary Two-Reel Film.)
